Golf in the Rancho Bernardo Area
Great golf in Rancho Bernardo and the surrounding area is easily accessible. We have three private country clubs close by. The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo and Bernardo Heights Country Club are both located right within the community. Stonebridge County Club is in our neighboring community of Poway. Also in Poway just down the road is the relatively new and spectacular Maderas Golf Club. Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club is in the newer section of Rancho Bernardo, but still close by. The center piece of Rancho Bernardo for many years has been the Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course. The RB Inn has been a world famous resort destination for golf and tennis lovers since we can remember. And located in Rancho Penasquitos across Interstate 15 you will find the Double Tree Resort with it interesting golf course. All of these golf courses are 18 holes.
For those who enjoy a challenge, but want a shorter course we have a beautiful executive layout with three separate 9 holes courses with both par three & challenging par four holes. This Oaks North Golf Club is under the management of the Rancho Bernardo Inn and is very well cared for and enjoyable. A newer executive course is located to the north in Escondido is named Reidy Creek. This layout has a country setting and keeps your interest. Also located in Escondido are two 18 hole courses that have beauty and will test your abilities. One is the Vineyard and is just around the corner from the largest indoor shopping mall in San Diego. It is five minutes at most from Lake Hodges. The Eagle Crest Golf Club is a bit farther to the North, (approximately 20 minutes) and is located in the middle of the San Pasqual valley with a beautiful country setting and interesting layout.
